About Me

Horses have been an integral part of my life from the moment my mother placed me on the back of a horse at just 18 months old. That early experience ignited a lifelong passion within me. Ever since, I have immersed myself in the world of equestrianism, riding ponies, horses, and even mules. My confidence in horsemanship grew to the point where, at the age of 16, I proudly embarked on my journey as a horse trainer, starting with my very first horse.

For over 25 years, I've been deeply involved in the equestrian community, particularly as a dedicated instructor. I've had the privilege of teaching both adults and children how to ride, sharing the joy and connection that comes from the unique bond between human and horse. In addition to my teaching role, I ventured into the world of horse-drawn carriages, operating a business that provided memorable experiences for special occasions.

My relentless drive for self-improvement in the realm of horsemanship eventually led me to discover the Parelli program. It was at the Maryland Horse Expo in 1999 that I had a profound moment of realization while witnessing Pat Parelli demonstrate his techniques. In that moment, I knew I had discovered my true calling. I no longer felt the need to coerce horses through force, fear, or intimidation. My horsemanship journey shifted towards a more empathetic and harmonious approach.

Becoming an instructor within the Parelli program was no easy feat, but I embraced the challenge with determination. I completed an intensive 12-week externship at the Florida Parelli campus, graduating as a One-Star Junior. I diligently mastered all four levels of the Parelli program, including Online, Liberty, Freestyle, and Finesse. My commitment led me to the Parelli Colorado Campus, where I achieved a 2-Star Junior designation. In 2015, I was invited to participate in a Parelli Colt start course, a rigorous month-long, hands-on learning experience. I emerged as one of the top three students, earning my Third Star.

Throughout my Parelli journey, I had the honor of being mentored by Carol Coppinger, a 6-Star Master Instructor. Carol's wisdom and guidance deeply influenced my teaching style, as I had the privilege of learning from her as a student and assisting in clinics across the east coast for 15 years.

Today, I stand as a seasoned Parelli instructor, armed with a wealth of knowledge, an array of effective tools, and the unwavering commitment to assist you on your own path to becoming the best horseman or horsewoman you can be. I look forward to sharing my passion and expertise with you as we embark on this incredible journey together.
